WHAT TO DO IN CHIHUAHUA?
Chihuahua is very different from what normally people think when they first hear “Mexico”. Being the largest federal state in Mexico (245,000 km2, almost 5 times the whole country of Croatia) and located in northern Mexico, Chihuahua is known for its great deserts, forests, mountains and mining towns. Here you can get some of the best beef steaks in the country ☺.
We encourage you to try and enjoy local food (you cannot leave without trying “carne seca” and “montados”), and visit some of our recommendations:
-
Chihuahua cathedral
-
Government palace
-
Historical museum of mexican revolution
-
Paquimé prehistoric archaeological Zone (day trip)
-
Samalayuca sand dunes (sandboarding - half-day trip)
-
Sierra Tarahumara / Copper Canyon (minimum 2 days)
WHAT TO DO IN MEXICO?
Mexico is the 13th-largest country in the world by land area, and is about 2/3rds the size of the entire Western Europe (!). Rich culture and cuisine, with ancient ruins of Aztecs, Mayans and many other cultures, great beaches and big history, there is a lot to explore in Mexico ☺.
You came already all this way, so make the best out of it and enjoy the beautiful México ☺! From drinking margaritas in the Caribbean sea, visiting different pyramids and temples or immersing yourself in the culture, here are our top recommendations:
-
Dia de los muertos in Oaxaca (30 Oct-2 Nov don't miss it!)
-
Chichen Itza (1 of the “New 7 Wonders of the World”)
-
Tulum / Playa del carmen (caribbeans)
-
Mexico city and Teotihuacán
-
